More Pics from the new Fulcrum MTB Wheelset Series. There are five models, one for v-brakes and four for disc brakes. In order these are: Red Metal Zero V-brake, Red Metal Zero Disc, Red Metal 1 Disc, Red Metal 3 Disc and Red Metal 5 Disc.
Fulcrum has used various technical solutions it had developed for its road wheels, adapting them to offroad use, such as the Two to One Spoke Ratio and MoMag lacing (see Fulcrum Technologies), together with other ad hoc solutions like AFS disc brake mounting.

Red Metal Zero are the top of the Fulcrum Offroad range. One model for v-brakes and one for disc brakes for racing. No coincidence then that the Red Metal Zero Disc debuted a few weeks ago as the official wheel for the Olympic and current world champion Julien Absalon and the Cross Country Orbea Team.

Red Metal 1 are high-range wheels for those who put their MTB truly to the test with regular particularly intense sessions. The ideal equilibrium between weight and performance. Available only in a disc-brake version, they are UST compatible and compatible with the main drivetrains on the market.

Red Metal 3 are medium-range wheels designed for daily use. Main features are their solidity and robustness, while still offering excellent performance. Available only in a disc-brake version, they are UST compatible and compatible with the main drivetrains on the market.

Red Metal 5 are the only entry-level wheels in the Fulcrum Offroad range and offer everyone a chance to improve the performance of their bike thanks to Fulcrum innovations. Two to One Spoke Ratio, disc brakes 20 mm oversize axles. Compatible with the main drivetrains on the market.

All the Fulcrum Offroad models will be available from October.
