Carbon-Ti’s carbon road-brake is finally approaching its production release after intensive testing procedures.
Unlinke previous claims the brake is going to weight 95g (instead of the previously claimed 99g) and will thus be a direct competitor to AX’s Orion brakes. At ~695 Euro retail / 850-900$ retail they are going to be less expensive than even the smaller AX model, the Perseus, though. Most important with brakes though the actual performance: initial testing has been showing some serious stopping power on a “definitely higher level than other lightweight brakes”.
The carbon is being made by Becker-Carbon, a German motorsports carbon specialist, the rest of the hardware and the assembly is taking place in-house at Carbon-Ti:
a cycling brake needs to be made by a cycling company
Gerhard tells me the first sets of brakes will be released in ~20days from now.
