Hanka Kupfernagel wins her fourth Cyclo-Cross World title.
On a fast and dry course, Hanka Kupfernagel (Germany) dominates her opponents and takes SRAM RED to its fi rst Cyclo-Cross World title. The German Champion completed the Treviso (Italy) course in 45’15” to clinch the title for the fourth time and was followed only 13” later by former World Champion Marianne Vos (The Netherlands) also riding SRAM components. Hanka Kupfernagel was too strong on the day for her Cyclo-Cross rivals as she started pulling away from the bunch on the second lap and was never caught up.
Since SRAM road components were introduced in 2006, they have for sure proven their superiority on the Cyclo-Cross scene, winning the 2007 and 2008 Women World Cups and 2008 World Championships. With their superior Exact Actuation shifting ratio, and performance enhancing ergonomics, SRAM road products compete at the highest level what ever the racing conditions.
No doubt SRAM beats the mud! After winning two world titles in succession, Time Trial and Cyclo-Cross, Hanka Kupfernagel will now focus on the Olympic Games seeking yet more success on SRAM road products.
