the conti race king is already available at GypzyBikz (http://www.starbike.com/php/product_info.php?lang=en&pid=9794) for example. price 37,50€ incl. 19% VAT.
but hurry up, the tires are limited - only 1000 tires are on the free market!

Hello,

I would like to ask you a question regarding the Conti Race King and I didn't want to open a new thread so I'll ask you here:

Is there any problem if I use the Race King World Cup with the Conti Supersonic tube?

I am asking you because on the tube is written that ti works with tires from 1.9 to 2.1 and the Race King is a 2.2 tire.

What if I'll use the same tube with a 2.3 Speed King Supersonic tire? Can I get some troubles with it? maybe some extra flats? I am asking you this because I don't wanna get some flats in races :rolleyes:

I' m using Schwalbe XXlight(1.9-2.1) tubes on schwalbe 2.25 and 2.35 tires and I don't have any problems with flats. Try it, it shoud work

I have already tried them .... I had a 'snake bite' but the pressure in the tire was a bit to small. Since then I didn't have any problem, but I saw that I have to be more careful on the trails ... no to get a flat ..

My experience is that I don't have more Snake-Bites with lighter tubes. The tire makes most of the difference.
Last year I was riding "Nobby Nic" in the light version, and had 5 Snak-bits in one week (sold the tires). I' m riding Nobby nic with Snakeskin now and never had Problems.

I agree, I have the Mountain king with protection and I didn't had a snake bite with it ... but in the race, the grams are making the difference ... and in a race I had only a snake bite this year ... and cost me the first place ... getting on 10. But these are the races ... you have to take you're chance...

Today I looked on the Conti Homepage, it says that the Conti Race King WC is available at October.
Here the original Text from the Homepage:

"Der Race King 2.2 Worldcup Ltd. kommt ab Oktober diesen Jahres in einer limitierten Auflage von 1000 Stück in den Fachhandel. Genau wie die Reifen von Irina, Hanka und Wolfram zeigen sie das schnelle Allroundprofil und sind als superleichte Supersonic Varianten mit Black Chili Compound aufgebaut."

I don't know if you can find any longer the World Cup Edition, but you can find on different web stores the Supersonic edition in 2,0 or 2,2

I already have the World Cup Edition, It's 2,2, is rolling really fast, the grip is amazing, but the puncture protection is kinda small ... at least for the bushes in Romania :( I was in Germany and on your clean trails you can use it really well.
